In my case, I use it very often to give it a persona I want and then help me with the subject. Of course, this is not as cool as the real applications that are arising and connecting stuff to each other, but it is an easy and accessible way of getting to know this technology and helping you to get better. Because of my enthusiasm, I'm also in the process of organizing an event at my work about this topic. I will write a blog about that later, but I use the tech to help me write the invite and create some images for the invitation. I'm not a creative person at all, so it gives me so much more freedom in expressing myself and trying to be creative without the skills to write or draw. With no doubt, the results are better from persons who are capable in a specific domain, but it helps me to do stuff I normally would not be able to do. I also have discovered that ChatGPT is an excellent teaching instrument.
So for everyone reading this, I would like to challenge you, if there is anything you struggle with but you are willing to learn, just have a chat with ChatGPT and try to learn from it. Be aware that not everything the chat suggests might be true, and you still need to apply your own critical thinking, but other than that, just ask and be amazed! So here is a list of the cool stuff that I tried and had fun with or learned something from. I hope it will inspire you to try to do the same and just have some good old-fashioned fun!
📚 Asked ChatGPT to write a children's fantasy story based on my son's random words: Train, Cactus, Car, Cookie.
🎨 Used Midjourney with my son to create silly images and had fun with it!
🧚♀️ Asked ChatGPT to create more detailed and imaginative prompts for Midjourney.
💻 Asked ChatGPT to help me write and design my website, and it helped me change the font to something else.
📝 Worked with my wife to summarize a long legal text in Dutch to a text at a B2 level, making it easier for people with basic knowledge of the Dutch language to read. This one was especially fun!!
